The Dragon Resort, Bahrain

State of Bahrain opens its gates for expatriates to own their own ‘home’ in its scenic man made ‘Amwaj’ Island. The basic aim of the project design is to create a strong image to entice patrons to relate themselves to, along with providing varying levels of ownership.

The project is built in two sets of plots and is linked through fluid masses symbolizing ‘Dragon’. The tall tent structures creating strong icon from all views.

‘Dragon’ accommodates 20 split level villas of 350 sqm with individual swimming pool approaching the sea in its meandering tail while opening its jaws to the swimming pool and Health club. There are 31 apartments, Three, two and one bedroom each of which avail sea and pool view, laid in a way to cordon the dragon.

The external landscape provides a public domain to create neighborhood feeling and provides resting area to the ‘dragon’.
